At the Enterprise Analytics Office, we package the science to influence outcomes. We apply science & math to hard problems to build “data products.” Our products should integrate seamlessly and often play behind the scenes to generate value.
We are currently seeking to fill 10 internship positions at our Columbus Ohio, Des Moines Iowa, or Scottsdale Arizona offices, with virtual work opportunities available.
Graduate or undergraduate candidates will be considered, from any major. Some statistical and/or technical background is preferred. Special consideration will be given to candidates with graduation dates in 2021.
The Data Science Intern will take an active role on one or more projects within Nationwide’s Enterprise Analytics Office and participate in many or all phases of the analytic lifecycle, including:
· Working with team members and business partners to identify, define and articulate the business problem to be solved.
· Acquiring, preparing, and cleaning data sets from one or more data sources, some containing millions of rows and hundreds of dimensions.
· Analyzing and visualizing trends and patterns in structured and/or unstructured data and effectively communicating relevant insights in support of business problem solving.
· Building, evaluating, and documenting predictive models and sharing findings with the team and business partners.
