About the Company:
Levy Learning Center, Inc
Dr. Deborah Levy is a nationally acclaimed specialist in special education, including the treatment of those students with reading disabilities, including dyslexia. She is also a superb teacher trainer of the Orton-Gillingham approach to teaching phonics. Currently she supervises an after-school program to tutor children who are behind in reading. About 9 years ago, we took all the methods she uses and converted them into software. The programs noted below are in schools in over 40 states and continually expanding. The company is extremely well-positioned as there needs to be an overhaul of the education system, starting with early childhood programs and continuing through high school. Levy Learning Center is ready to meet those challenges. The company has its headquarters in North Miami Beach, FL
I represent a company in the ed tech space. We are working on developing programs to teach children how to read, or rather to teach teachers how to teach reading and use of software for the drill and practice to mastery needed. Lack of reading skills affects over 60% of American students, leading to dire consequences as they join the work force one day. Our program is fully developed and being used by over 40,000 students across the country.
We are now focusing on our efforts on a dyslexia screening test and on a more robust program for children in preK-4 and Kindergarten. Our ideas have crystallized. We now need a program to work with us to take our ideas and convert them into digital format.
Experience in programming. Must be able to show us some work already done. Must have verifiable references.
Software engineer to develop, monitor, and continually upgrade a program designed for early childhood programs to prepare all students who enter first grade to be able to read. We have all the ideas on paper. We just need to work with a programmer to enact those ideas.
