We accomplish this through program engagement, across the warfighting domains to assist program and test managers in developing efficient and executable test strategies; and by ensuring the Department recruits and retains a skilled T&E workforce supported by professional education, training, and certification. The TRMC Sponsored Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Internship Initiative during the summer consists of work assignments designed to acclimate you to the fundamentals and concepts of test and evaluation (T&E) within the Department of Defense. While applying your knowledge, you’ll broaden your skills and gain valuable experience as you are exposed to test and evaluation in real world settings.
When you participate in the TRMC STEM Internship Program, you’ll:
•Gain hands-on engineering experienceworking on a T&E related project.
•Work directly with other engineers andprofessionals in a team environment.
•Develop your skills under the guidance ofprofessional and experienced mentors.
•Use our internship program as a gateway tonetworking and exploring job opportunitieswithin the Department of Defense.
•Obtain a security clearance.
Your rotational assignments may include working T&E related projects at the following sites:
•DoD Test Site
•Government Headquarters Activity
•An interest in a project-based internshiplearning more about Department ofDefense (DoD) testing needs, resourcesand capabilities.
•Can thrive in a high-performance culturethat values teamwork and collaboration.
•Possess strong leadership andcommunication skills.
•Have sound technical and analytical engineering skills, as demonstrated through strong academic performance.
•Are excited when presented with complex challenges to solve.
To qualify for the intern position you must be:
•A current full-time enrolled collegestudent
•STEM Background (student ismajoring/minoring in a Science,Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline)
•A sole U.S. citizen
•Available June – August 2018
