Alana Athletica is a new yoga-inspired women’s active-wear startup that designs and manufactures premium quality yoga pants driven by a worthy social cause. Alana is partnering with Emerge Global, a humanitarian organization, with a purpose to educate, employ, and empower women abuse survivors in Sri Lanka who are joining their all-women production facility - all while giving back to deserving local communities. Alana wants to create a global community where women feel safe, secure, and confident.


Position Description:

Alana is looking for a qualified intern to help design and build an initial prototype for a new customer impact platform that will be launched on the Alana Athletica website. This platform is designed to track the social impact that Alana and its community of supporters has, via a unique methodology that will disrupt the retail market.

The Alana Athletica intern should be able to work independently and lead the design and build of the prototype, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in launching a new start-up, design thinking, and having the chance to participate in a highly selective StartUp FIU program.

Position Duties:
  • Understand the purpose and scope of the customer impact platform
  • Provide feedback and creative thinking on design and build of customer impact platform
  • Build initial prototype of the customer impact platform that will be hosted on Alana Athletica’s website, working closely with Alana’s founders
